Dr. Steven Asanza is a native of Toms River, N.J. where he attended St. Joseph Grade School and High School (now Donovan Catholic). He received his B.S. and D.M.D. degrees from Fairleigh Dickinson University (1990).
Dr. Asanza spent the following three years at Albert Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center in New York, first in the general dentistry residency program followed by the two year specialty program in Orthodontics.
Upon graduation in 1993, He entered a private practice with a Pediatric dentist in Shrewsbury, N.J. In 1995 he opened his Toms River practice where he resides with his wife Donna and four children Carlene, Stephanie, Jackson and Trevor. When not in the office Dr. Asanza likes to spend time at the beach with his family. He also enjoys golfing, snowboarding and playing the guitar.
Dr. Asanza affiliations with organized dentistry included the American Dental Association(ADA), New Jersey Dental Association(NJDA), Monmouth/Ocean County Dental Society(MOCDS), New Jersey Association of Orthodontists(NJAO) and the Advanced Dental Seminars Study Club. He has also been published in the “Angle Orthodontist” journal (1997)
In March of 2004 Dr. Asanza became a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics after successful completion of all three phases of the Board Examination.
For nine years in a row, 2009-2017, Dr. Steven Asanza was selected by his peers as one of New Jersey Top Dentists. He is honored that his peers express their trust and confidence in him with both their patients as well as their own families.
